- Bite firmly but gently on the gauze pad placed on tooth extraction at least 30 minutes.
- Due to long duration of numbness (usually 3-4 h) specially soft tissues around tooth, be careful not to bite your lips, cheek or tongue.
- Avoid rinsing mouth on surgical day.
- In second day, rinse your mouth with solution made of salt, water and disinfection solution as prescribed following meal, in every 3 or 4 hour.
- It’s normal some plasma for several hours after tooth extraction or surgical. Despite bloodshed, put gauze pad gently on place for 30 minutes. If bleeding continues, repeat this procedure and prevent replacing gauze pad less than 30 minutes.
- After tooth extraction, injuries inside mouth can be seen in gray cortex, and mouth is some what unpleasant smell.
- Prevent harsh foods and hot drinks after tooth extracting .first day have soft ,cold or tepid on next day use usual food in case of comport. Use other side of jaw .taking enough fluids and food is essential after surgery. Be careful to prevent direct food pressure on stitched region.
- Inflation and pain after tooth extraction are expected. Applying an ice bag to the affected area immediately after procedure us effective to reduce inflation.
- Maximum inflation happen 24-48 h softer surgical which disappear within 7-10 days.
- Sometimes after tooth extraction , a blood clot is removed from tooth pulled and a condition created which called dry socket. This complication creates if the blood clot dislodged from your gums and is a painful dental condition. if this happening, refer to your dentist
- Prevent smoking, pipe, and hookah and drink fluids by using straw after tooth extracting.
- When sleeping , prop your head up by 2 pillows.
- Continue brushing and flossing your teeth. Be careful not to brush extraction site directly in 5 or 6 days.
- A week after surgery, refer to clinic for removing stitch.
