What should we do with impacted teeth?
The impacted teeth are referred to teeth that cannot grow and place in natural area of jaw in expected time, when every tooth is raised in age. There are several reason for grow but in short term, include impacted bones, trouble of teeth adjacent to soft tissue are proper, and inappropriate size of jaw the size of teeth .
- Unfortunately, the prevalence of teeth impaction, especially the wisdom teeth are increasing, one of the known reason is using fast foods which decreases bone growth by decreasing the activity and chewing force. The most common impacted teeth are wisdom teeth and the canine teeth.
- As an accepted principle, all impacted teeth should be removed, because they all have the potential to cause infection cyst, tumors , damage adjacent teeth and increase the probability of jaw fracture in face, in addition to removing an impacted tooth especially wisdom, it also facilitates orthodontic treatment and prevents the teeth from irregularities. Obviously, postponing this procedure to higher age requires more difficult action and may cause more complication.
