  • Sterilization is referred to as a process in which all living and non-living organisms are removed from the surface of the device. In fact, sterility is an absolute term and has no grade. The device is sterile absolutely or not.
  • Disinfection means reducing the number of microorganisms on device, that they cannot cause disease in humans. Disinfection done by placing equipment in chemical solution and is not enough for sharp equipment.

 

Sterilizing the equipment is the only perfect way to prevent possible transmission of disease in dental office. For sterilizing equipment we put them in autoclave, with high water pressure and proper condition to eliminate any creation on equipment.
