What is dental crown?
Crown or fixed dental prosthodontics which called “dental crown” in English, metal or ceramic cap or combination of both, placed on wounded teeth in order to restore the function and beauty of tooth, in addition protecting them from breaking.

- Full metal crowns
As you see the name, the entire tooth cover is made of metal, which can be white or yellow depending on metal type including in alloy. The disadvantages of that is ungraceful appearance which is less used today. When the tooth is root canal therapy and more than50% of tooth crown is loss, an impression is taken from root of tooth and sent to laboratory. In second session, casting metal crown that fabricated by dental laboratory, cemented on patients tooth and then used for providing crown.
